I just want to say thank you to whoever it was that nominated me at the 'no rest for the wicked awards'.
This isn't the first time I've declined a nomination, but it's the first time I've mentioned it on my journal. The only reason I'm bringing it up now is that I don't want whoever it was to think I'm brushing them off or something, becuase I truly do appreciate it. It's just that I don't want to participate in fandom awards.
I've had the problem in the past where I didn't want to say no because I thought it was douchey. I got over that eventually, but now I feel like it's even douchier to say no and then just ignore it.
So, whoever you are, please know that you made me smile. It's always nice when someone likes your stories enough to go to the trouble. If I knew who you were, I'd give you a big, sloppy kiss!
Heh, if you weren't going to keep quiet before... ;)
