Happy Cas day, folks!

I wanted to like this episode more than I did.  I love Cas like he's my very own, and there were definitely moments of squee (he was the one who raised Sam!!) but it was sort of anti-climactic.

AWWW!!!!!  Dean has so much faith in Cas!  And he's finally acknowleding how much Cas has done for them and CAS ISN'T THERE WHEN THEY NEED HIM!!!  I want to cry, but I'm secretly so happy about that.

And I still love Dean.  Even if Sam and Bobby are looking at him like he's kind of a tool for thinking Cas is on their side, despite the fact that he clearly isn't.

Boys getting their asses kicked ftw, but I feel like Cas saying 'they're my friends' is forced.

Haha!  "Why?"  "You thought what?"  Cas, you're not very convincing.  The three stooges really are pretty dumb.

Guh, Dean's face, when Cas slipped up about the Kryptonite.  HOT.

Something about Crowley saying 'whore' like that... Mmmm....  Plus, Cas is absolutely delicious when he gets all toppy like that.  And him watching Dean...  I am a happy, happy rockstar, thinking about that.

Oh, Crowley plays Cas so pretty.  I want more of that.  And yes, yes I'm still sort of shipping them.

"You're either with Raphael or you're with me."  Okay, that... was lame.

Bitch!  Cas, you are trapped and stupid and sort of oddly sexy all trapped in the holy fire.

OMG Dean looks like he's about to CRY!!!!  Oh, the manpain!  And ah, the LOOK Dean gives Cas before they leave him there when the demons are coming...  Sorry, they just make the best dysfunctional boyfriends ever.

Oh, I love how Sam's so shocked that Cas brought hiim back soulless on purpose.

And wow, did I mention how hot Cas is when he gets all toppy?  'Cause yeah... hot. 

Cas is Dean's family. Naw, so cute!

AH!  Oh, I feel so bad for him, the poor baby.

So, okay.  Actually, not so bad :)

Sorry if this was random and lacked sense.  Sometimes that happens.

Okay, I get it now. Cas starts showing brass and suddenly, I get the appeal.

Sam finding out that guh! Cas raised him, knowing that he was soulless...unconscionable! But somehow provokative...
I can't wait to see how the wall crashes. And I need Dean to acknowledge that Sam was completely innocent and a pawn to Cas's scheme.
Oh, and if hot, angry sex between the brothers is the way they have to resolve the issue... I will accept that sacrifice.

You really don't like Cas, huh?

I admit, he was weak here. Normally I love Cas, love Misha, but this time I felt the acting was poor and Cas was less likable than he usually is.

I don't hate him, but I'm not a fan. The acting was poor here, though maybe it was just Cas being really transparent with the whole "I'm not working with Crowley" thing.

Mmm, yes. Nummy, nummy Cas. Just the way he gets when he's not taking any shit... good times, I tell you. Plus, I love it when he's not exactly on Dean's side, but Dean wants to think he is.

And I totally agree, hot, angry wincest is probably the only place to go from here. *nods*

I loved Crowley calling Cas "kitten". That was all kinds of awesome.

Also the list of all the demons who underestimated the Winchesters. It's about time evil acknowledged them!

Cas smiled in this eppy! Luv, luv, luv. Lots of exposition though, and I was getting reeeeeeeally tired of the all the clips. But those are minor complaints.

Oh, angels thinking Cas is the chosen one because God brought him back. Oh, Cas going to war for DEAN. Oh, Cas' favorite part of heaven is just a simple sunny day.

"I can smell the Impala all over you." XD
"Castiel, little angel of Thursday."

No Balthzar, I'm surprised. And somehow, we STILL didn't get a decent explination of what the souls are for.

Yes exactly!! Err... about the souls. I still have no idea what what Death was talking about, about what Cas and Crowley are on about. Souls are good? I don't... There has to be something they haven't told us yet, because otherwise it's just lame.

I think it was the exposition that did me in. Plus, Misha's somewhat questionable acting. Normally I love him, but today, Cas didn't do a whole lot for me (except when he was pwning Crowley).

And I adore Crowley's description of them as the new God and Devil. Cas ruling things RULES.

I haven't seen the show yet on the West Coast here but...had to read your post! :) I sooooooo love Cas and it kills me that he is walking the dark side and what it is doing to his relationship with Dean. I am all into Dean/Cas and their chemistry....I dread what is going to happen to Cas for the season finale...don't know if my heart can take it! Now, I would love for you to write a story of our boys (soooo love your story of the boys!!!) to mend this heart! :D

Haha! I both love and hate that Cas is walking the line between good and bad. Although he was dickish and Dean almost cried *yay for almost crying Dean!* I don't think this took away from Dean/Cas at all. If anything it made me love it more because Dean is so hurt over it and Cas want's to be good for Dean but he can't (because Dean's kind of a tool) and their epic love is doomed!

I did enjoy the ep, although it was somehow exhausting! Must have been all that exposition.

It didn't play to me like Cas brought back soulless on purpose. He seemed so surprised when Sam walked away from Dean after seeing him through the window, and he when he said that he hadn't brought back all of Sam, it sounded to me like it was an error, not a deliberate act. That was just my gut feel though; maybe they'll explain it in the next couple of eps (along with, hopefully, what the hell the souls are actually for).

New Hell is lame! British people like queuing... :P

I don't really know why Dean accused Sam of being Lois Lane. Bit of the lady doth protest too much, if you ask me...

For some reason, I'd never considered the possibility that Cas can watch them without them knowing. Lord knows what he's seen when he's been spying!!!

Dean sucks at raking leaves.

Yeah, I still have no idea what's going on with Cas, if he left Sam's soul down there on purpose, what the Hell he's doing with Crowley I just... They're still not explaining anything very well so I hope the finale wraps some stuff up.

This is what I've been looking forward to all season, to find out what's been going on with Cas and get a better look at his war and what's been going on in Heaven and stuff, and then it happens and I'm like 'Really? That's it?'. I had just hoped to like it a little better.

And yeah, I didn't get that Lois Lane bit either. Sometimes they write jokes they must think are funny, but they mostly just suck.

I think creepy!stalker!Cas could be a thing :)

Where to start. I've always liked Cas, though as its been noted he can be a bit of a dick sometimes and he didnt disappoint in that regard this episode. I also am not too sure what the whole "its all about the souls" really means, I'm guessing that the angels and I guess the demons can draw power from having souls under their control.

I love how Cas gets all mushy when it comes to the boys, especially Dean, the slight change in expression when Dean said he was like a brother to him, made me squeee.

I dont believe Cas brought Sam back souless on purpose, he said it more difficult to harrow hell this time and he had to actually bring Sams body back, maybe its an either or situation, the body or the soul.

Two final thoughts, I love that Crowley is actually afraid of the boys, he knows what they are capable of and respects it. Second nice shout-out to Deadwood with the demon/Bobby counter-part being named Ellworth.

I'm hoping god will put in an apparence in the finale.

I love dick!Cas. I love it when he's a decent guy, too, but I like for him to have his 'whatever it takes' attitude and I really love it when it hurts Dean along the way :)

Yeah, Cas getting all soft over the boys is so cute. Naw, he lurves them!

I'm optomistic about the finale. I hope everything gets wrapped up and I know that sucky shit is going to go down, but I'm hoping that overall, it's good.

Well, I don't THINK Cas brought Sam back soulless on purpose. Earlier in the episode when we first find out that Cas was the one to get Sam out of the cage he says something like he didn't know it at the time, but he messed up or was too prideful-thinking he could really get Sam out. Meaning he didn't know Sam was missing his soul. But I think it's really sad that Sam would think Cas would leave him soulless on purpose. But I admit, I knew Cas was doing some bad things and I suspected that as well.

I really loved this episode. Especially when he was in the holy fire! But actually, I thought Cas said when he was explaining in his whole plan that it was unfortunate that Sam came back without a soul. Or maybe I have to watch that again...

Yeah, Cas said he meant to save Sam's soul, but that doesn't make it true. I'm not sure yet what actually happened, but I thought it was interesting that Sam believed he was capable of that kind of asshattery.
