Okay, so I like John Winchester. More or less. He's never been my favourite character, but I like him well enough. He loves his kids, he's a badass and he's pretty as fuck. So yeah, John Winchester, though he could use a parenting class or two, is pretty damn awesome.

JDM, on the other hand, has never really done much for me.

Cue season 7 of The Good Wife and me swallowing my tongue each and every week because HOLY FUCK how can anybody possibly be that consistently hot?

Each and every single thing about him is more beautiful than the last beautiful thing he did. I think it's because he's not so harsh - he's easy going, lazily pretty, like he knows it and he doesn't give a fuck.

This is a man I want to watch every second of every day.

If you've never seen the show, do yourself a favour. Don't bother catching up - you don't need it to appreciate the pretty - just start watching. You won't be sorry.

Ugh, Walking Dead. I'm so very much not a Zombie fan. Is that a show I can start watching without any background? Because I need more JDM in my life!

Try Extant Season 2 (you don't need to have watched season 1, they do plenty of recapping). Like I said below, he plays pretty much the same character in that as in the Good Wife.

I just can't watch the show--but holy smokes, I will *run* a body down when that commercial with him in bed comes on. Damn, that is one incredibly fiiiiiiiine looking man.

Why can't you watch it? I guarantee he's worth whatever your issues are.

It's just not my show. I tried to watch it with Mr. R--he watches it and enjoys it, but sadly, not even the great cast could get me interested. JDM tempts me though...damn, that smile....

Oh, well if you're not outright offended by the show trust me when I say that you won't be sorry if you watch S7. It's JDM like you've never seen him before. In a good way :)

IKR? Basically that character he plays in The Good Wife IS JDM. He plays almost exactly the same character in that Halle Berry sci fi series (the name of which escapes me) and he was the main attraction there too. Leather jacket, laid-back rumbling and all. *melts*

Edited to say - it's Extant.

Welcome to the swoon club, baby:) Allow me to squee all over you.

easy going, lazily pretty, like he knows it and he doesn't give a fuck. - you said it. <3
I especially thought that came through in that conversation in the bar with Lucca when she asked him what he did to Alicia and accused him of doing his "bedroom eyes BS" and he responded so very patiently. (I love Lucca btw;)
Also:
David: "You kinda got a cowboy thing going on, don't ya."
Jason: "Not intentionally."

I see Amber already mentioned Extant, which is really horrible plot-wise, but yeah, some more gloriously laid back JDM

Another awesome -but too short part- was his guest appearance on Shameless (US) S04Ep12; he's in it for less than five minutes, but dayum is it worth watching the whole episode.

I don't think you need to watch earlier seasons of the Walking Dead to understand the story; I tried the first three eps and decided I wouldn't need it to prepare for JDM in S7. Zombies do nothing for me, but I will check out his Negan, especially because he was so boyishly thrilled about playing the part *g*

/squee

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go catch up with The Good Wife.

Right? Everything he does is just so PERFECT, he's always got these too cool for school responses to everything.... *sigh* Ngh, and in last night's episode, with all the shirtlessness and him wandering in a pink satin bathrobe and just YES. That was a good episode - I kept on laughing this stupid, giddy laugh at all his smiles and charm and how he dealt with Veronica and Owen.

I think I will check out Extant, but I'm still not sure about the Zombies :)

JDM is quite pretty.

Also, I'd like to check out the Good Wife sometime. Apparently, some kid from my high school had a cameo once.

Okay, so I freely admit that John Winchester does everything good for me. Yeah, def needs a parenting class, but holy hell, man, damn. But JDM does something else for me. Like have you ever watched a interview with him? (If not, track down him on Craig Ferguson, on YouTube, they are actually friends and their interviews are just them being dorks together). He's as hot as John Winchester, but in a more accessible way I think. So I tape everything he's on (thank god for my TiVo that lets me put in actors names and tapes everything they pop on for me). If you haven't ever seen his episode of CSI, do yourself a favor and watch it. He's only in the first ten minutes or so, but he's an undercover cop and there is a moment where he is pulling his weapons all lazily and pissy out of his boot and just, ugh, good. But nothing - and I mean nothing and that is with me having seen like 85% of his filmography - has ever been as good as The Good Wife. JFC, do you think his resume says, under special talents, 'Leaning in Doorways'? Because it should. Also 'Looking at people over the top of my glasses'. Holy hell. I'll be sad when TGW is over, but I have s2 of Extant saved up to watch once his role on TGW is done. Halle Berry is basically the woman that made me realize I liked women, so watching her and JDM make out is probably going to kill me. If this is the last time we talk, it has been wonderful knowing you, friend! (also JDM owns a farm, with alpacas, with his wife and then a candy store with Paul Rudd, idek! Who is this guy?)

I haven't seen much that he's done, besides SPN and TGW. He keeps popping up in some stuff that I watch, but only tiny little parts (Angel, Enterprise, Tru Calling), sometimes with no lines (Batman V Superman). But I swear, I've watched the last 4 episodes of TGW like, half a dozen times. Each.

Oh, this comment reminded me before I watch this week's ep of TGW - last week stupid basketball ran over and made my recorded ep of TGW get cut off! (MSU is out of the running now, so maybe the local channel will stop this basketball nonsense, interrupting my JDM dose!)

But can you tell me what happened with that woman Alicia saw Jason with. The last I saw she was out with her boss for dinner and she saw Jason and started to go over and say hello and then this woman came in and she and Jason were acting all super in lovey and Alicia turned around and walked away and then my ep got off. Who was the woman? Is he seeing someone else too? Was it for a case? There's only a few episodes left of the series and I thought Jason was gonna be her happily ever after!! Who was that woman?! Erm, anyway, if you could let me know what happened after that, then I'll go watch this week's ep. :)

It was an old 'friend' from New York that was in town for a while. Alicia didn't really get upset about it, because she said they weren't committed, plus she's MARRIED, but Luca spoke with Jason and he felt bad that Alicia saw them, said it didn't mean anything and went to her house to apologise to her, but Alicia told him not to apologise, she's glad to spend time with him and she wants to leave it at that.

Then he said he was jealous of Peter and Alicia told him not to be. Then there was lots of hanky panky :)
