I've actually been keeping up with this season and the weather was perfect tonight so I was able to watch in real time through the magic of the airwaves. And people say Buffalo isn't good for anything.

I've really been enjoying it so far.



So hands up who else thought Sam was gonna lay one on Dean to transfer the curse? I honestly did. Then again, I sometimes get confused between reality and porn :) But I love how Sam seems to be all in these days. Like, he's finally content with his life, not just that he's accepted it, but he's happy with it. Way more even than Dean is. He's on Dean's side and he's well aware that Dean's on his and that's just the way it'll always be.

Good on that kid. I'm enjoying that he seems to have some peace.

And even though I knew it was going to be Amara that was Dean's deepest desire, I was halfway imagining that Sam would show up. But hey, that's why fanfic was invented. So come on, flist. Time to put out!

Also, yay for Dean, being all honest and crap about it. That whole seen at the end for me was a flashback to when Sam asked Dean what he saw with the Yellow Fever and Dean was all 'Howler Monkeys'. I thought he was gonna play it off, but it looks like he might be learning.

But I'd just like to know, in what universe does Dean ever strike out? Ever? 'Dad bod' or not, no way in hell does Dean troll for chicks and go home alone.

Which brings up another interesting point. Dean hasn't been whoring it up too much lately but now he's at it again. (And how cute was he, all hungover and gross and sex-stinky?) Probably trying to forget about Amara. Yeah, 'cause that's working.

Anyway, great episode, great season.

I felt pretty good about Dean finally getting laid again--it seemed like they'd forgotten that sex is one of Dean's four food groups--booze, pie, burgers and sex. I also don't believe he struck out...unless he was aiming way too young, also a thing he's not known for. I'll handwave it.

When Dean came right out and confirmed what Sam suspected, you could have knocked me over with a feather. Honesty! Well, almost, because you know he meant to say, "Amara is my deepest desi--okay, okay, not really, it's YOU."

And yes, great episode, great season! I don't think there's one ep this season that isn't good.

Waiting at work on my colleague to get the car ready:

Do you remember the ep when Sam said (to Charlie?) that he now saw that this is his life? So, yes he's all in.

And in the beginning of season ten when Sam *absolutely* wanted to save Dean from being a demon. Also tells me that Sam is all in.

And I would've loved to see Sam lay one on Dean, but yeah, canon vs fanfic!

Yes, that's true; Sam's been heading toward this season's contentment for a while now. I'm kinda happy for him, even though it's probably a miserable way to spend his life :)

Sam's gentle contentment with his life finally feels real this season, doesn't it? Previously I just felt he was empty rather than accepting, so this is refreshing.

And yeah.... "even though I knew it was going to be Amara that was Dean's deepest desire, I was halfway imagining that Sam would show up." When that shadow morphed I'm sure for a moment they deliberately made it look tall and shaggy before the arms thinned into Amara-arms...

Sam is making me so happy, I can't even. He's so calm about everything and seems genuinely happy every now and again and it makes me smile and I want to hug him!

And yes, I'm sure they did that shadow thing on purpose.

I, too, was legit waiting for Dean to kiss the curse to Sam. I was truly on the edge of my seat.

Right? I was honest to God expecting them to kiss, thinking this was the excuse the show could use. It would, of course, be all awkward and gross them both out and one or the other wouldn't even pucker, just pull the confused sour lemon face, but... How could they pass that up?

You guys are giving me hope for this show. I love supernatural more than anything, I promise, but I was so surprised and taken aback by the whole "Amara" business that I considered not watching anymore. I couldn't even make it threw their first kiss, ewwwwwwwwwwwww. It's so unlike dean and so gross and, well, when this character died off I'll be happy. But help, does it get better? Should I keep pushing? Or are the writers really pushing this romance on us for some reason?
