Summary:  Human AU.  Spike is a cop who happens to cross paths with Angel, a handsome young homeless man who is starting to get his life together.

Pairing:  Mainly Spike/Angel, I think.  At least that’s the intention.  But there are others.

katsa_db_lover who issued a challenge to the effect of this story, hope this is even close to what she had in mind.  It started out with all her requested elements, but then went to its own happy place.
